Synopsis:
The "Kutija Series" sculptures are pure composition without frills. No attempt is made to hide the process of creation or imperfection but rather these are celebrated through the highlighted use of tack welding, incomplete grinds, scratches, layout lines, splatter, and dripping paint. These sculptures retain the energy of the hand that made them.
Each "Kutija" sculpture takes on a personified character of their own.
Kutija means "box" in Serbian.
